Some time ago MCD has started the drive of ceiling of unauthorized and illegal construction in the residential as well as commercial area. But the task has not been competed as yet. We can still see people who have constructed there houses beyond there area have again crossed there limits. There are still people who are managing there business or shops from there residence. People have still given out there places on rent for commercial purposes. Many residential houses are giving away there places for commercial activity. The MCD can not alone control these illegal and unauthorized constructions or activities. General public should support the MCD in restricting these things to go out of control. Ultimately it is we who suffer at the risk of others.

Delhi Weather
Delhi temperatures have increased and the sun shines is brightest from 11am till late evening! If when there is no sun you can still feel the hot air which blows on your face. Going out in this weather is at times impossible, when one needs to do their job they have to go out and face the sun no matter what.
For some its not easy walking out in the sun, as they get heat rashes,, sweat and get dehydrated so its important to take care of your self properly, by drinking lots of water, using sun screen and keeping yourself cool. Although there it is still summer and there is yet July and August to come we can not predict how the high the temperature will go, at the moment it is around 45 c. If the monsoon season comes unlike last year which it didn’t, then we can see a drop in the temperature if not then its hotter days to come.

Eco-friendly Bikes
A Sheffield Hallam University student has developed an eco-friendly bicycle. The cheapest mode of transportation a cardboard bicycle. Interestingly, this 21-year old student has developed an ultimate green machine using cardboard, which is the cheapest material to build a mode of transportation. The industrial packaging cardboard costs around £3 for making the frame work and the total cost in putting the wheels and chain would come out to be £15. Hence, the eco-friendly bicycle may sell for as little as £15. The advantage behind this is of course it is eco-friendly and for such a low valve it would be an attractive proposition for occasional cyclists and would become a less of the target for the thieves.

Surf While Driving
Cars connected with internet ready system, the UConnect Web system will be introduced soon. According to this system, one can surf, chat, download music, email, play games and even upload photos from an SD card. Though it will be in competition with the laptop wireless cards, but the main thing is that if the customers want to have such a system loaded in the car and to use it while behind the wheel. Though seems quite risky and fatal, the experts believe that such systems will enable in wireless communication, relieve congestion and manage traffic by allowing cars to track everything around them and avoid collisions. It would be similar to the cars enabled with blackberries, iPhones and other devices.
Glaucoma Leading Cause For Blindness
Glaucoma is the leading cause for blindness. It is caused by increasing intraocular pressure which causes damage to the optic nerve that transmits visual information to the brain. It does not have any visible symptoms though in acute cases it includes blurry vision, halos around lights, eye pain, nausea and vomiting. Statistics reveal that about 4.8 lakh patients in India and about 1.2 lakhs new cases add up every year. At present 63% blindness is due to cataract, 4% is due to glaucoma. The sad thing is that India has just 12,000 ophthalmologists and needs about 40,000 optometrists of which only 8,000 are there. Such statistics reveal that more awareness is needed among the people.
India’s social structure on HIV and AIDS
We have been discussing this for long now but the problem still remains the same. In India women are at a much higher risk of falling prey to HIV/AIDS than men because while having sex a woman’s body has more sections exposed to the HIV virus then men. Moreover there is a larger virus present in sperm than in vaginal secretions. In India the society is male dominated and women are depended on men financial and even emotionally thus allowing the men to control their lives and the right as to when, with whom and in what circumstance they will have sex. While in cities the sex workers are aware of the consequences and reasons for HIV/AIDS, women in villages or small towns who are sex workers are more ignorant and are falling prey to HIV/AIDS. At time in villages even housewives are forced to sell themselves to survive. Rapes also make women prey to HIV/AIDS. More over women buying condoms and saying no to sex is not taken in the right way in the Indian Society.
