Mobile Wonder

Another interesting mobile gadget is on its way. It is called Fly SX 315. It is a clam shell. Though it looks simple, it still boasts of a lively combo of entertaining features. It is loaded with the most wanted version of mp3 player, mp3 ring tones and of course FM. It has FM schedule recording and additional feature due to which one can hear even the shows which he had missed. It has USB connectivity. It is even loaded with 1.3 mega pixel camera, as well as Bluetooth. It also has voice and video facility. It has 512 MB memory available for recording and downloads. Its introductory price is Rs 5100. What a combo of entertainment feature.

Indian Institute of Space Technology

The Indian Institute of Space Technology has started a four year B Tech courses in Avionics and Aerospace and the five year integrated post graduate course in Applied Sciences. This has made IIST the world’s first Space University offering under graduate programs to the students. The first batch of the students consists of 138 students out of which 11 are women. The student studying here learns the technology and can see it in action, which is not possible anywhere else. Even at IIT they don’t provide course for avionics. IIT has course for aeronautics but in that emphasis is more on flight mechanism and not on astronautics, which is available in IIST. They are also planning to come out with three post graduate program in specific areas of interest to ISRO.

Surf While Driving

Cars connected with internet ready system, the UConnect Web system will be introduced soon. According to this system, one can surf, chat, download music, email, play games and even upload photos from an SD card. Though it will be in competition with the laptop wireless cards, but the main thing is that if the customers want to have such a system loaded in the car and to use it while behind the wheel. Though seems quite risky and fatal, the experts believe that such systems will enable in wireless communication, relieve congestion and manage traffic by allowing cars to track everything around them and avoid collisions. It would be similar to the cars enabled with blackberries, iPhones and other devices.
