Delhi Government has approved to grant 13th month salary to all the non-gazette operational staff of Delhi fire service along with ration money at the rate of Rs. 722/- per month. This demand was raised by the Fireman since long in the lines of payment made to police and paramilitary forces in the country. This has been granted to the Firemen because they face the hazards of fire and other dangerous situations on daily basis. This provision has been done because there is no provision for them to avail break for lunch / dinner by all the categories and the leave rules are as per the Government rules.
